Wednesday and the wind is SSE

Wednesday and the wind is SSE

Decided not to cross the causeway today because I’d have to fight the SSE wind to get back. Pretty sure I’d end up falling off the bike due to extreme slow speed or even walking over the causeway into that wind!

Wind or no wind I still made it to the coffee shop.

Monday update

Monday update

Well yes, the wind remained out of the North and I sailed home over the causeway reaching an exciting 35.0 mph on the downhill stretch. Averaged 18 mph on Fulton Beach Road and stopped for a coffee and croissant at The Duck Blind at Fulton Harbor.

Total mileage for the day: 27.21

Garmin Connect Stats

Garmin Connect Stats

Marc C – I still like my Wahoo Bolt V2 for the facilities it offers but do agree with you about the elegance of the Garmin Connect website when it comes to displaying stats. Lucky for us we can have the best of both worlds by importing Wahoo .fit files to the Garmin website!

Guess which nerdy person of your acquaintance just finished uploading all his journeys from the purchase date of his Trek road bike?

Here is today’s ride:

Saturday Cycle in Rockport

Saturday Cycle in Rockport

My stats for today are a tad muddled as I started with a 10 minute warmup on the stationery bike then transferred to my road bike but noticed that my radar was not working so returned home to fix it. I claim all three mileages as my accumulated total!

Cold Weather Flat

Cold Weather Flat

Every time it gets cold (below 70F) I get a low tire pressure warning on the Explorer. Usually it happens when it’s chucking it down too and every time I get out and get soaked to find it’s only a couple of psi down.

However tonight there’s a stonking big nail bang in the middle of the front right tire tread.
So here I am, at Discount Tire in Portland, waiting on it being fixed. At least I’m indoors and dry!
